Red one

With Christmas on its way, theaters are coming out with new holiday specials. An example of one is the new action holiday movie, “Red One.” It is the perfect combination of action and adventure but also Christmas spirit and forming new bonds.

“Red One” came out on Nov. 15. The movie is two hours and three minutes long. This movie stars Dwayne Johnson as Callum Drift, Chris Evans as Jack O’Malley, J.K. Simmons as Santa Claus, Kristofer Hivju as Krampus, Lucy Liu as Zoe and Reinaldo Faberlle as the polar bear, Agent Garcia. The story was created by Hiram Garcia and directed by Jake Kasdan.

In the movie, Santa Claus, also known as “The Red One,” gets kidnapped from the North Pole just a few days before Christmas. An E.L.F. ( Extremely Large and Formidable), Callum Drift, is sent to go rescue him, but he needs help from the world’s most astounding tracker, Jack O’Malley.

Drift and O’Malley are complete opposites. Drift has strength, a no-nonsense attitude, and is dedicated to protecting the magic of the North Pole. Meanwhile, O’Malley is known for working outside the law, being brash and having a sarcastic attitude.

They go to various locations to look for Santa. Their first stop was Aruba, where Drift and O’Malley fight a man named Ted who knows where Santa is and who took him. Ted tells them Gryla the Christmas Witch has taken Santa, and when people say her name she can hear them. O’Malley accidentally says her name, and she then uses Ted to tell Drift that she threatens to punish everyone on the naughty list.

After that they meet up with Zoe, Drift suggests that maybe Santa’s brother, who is none other than Krampus, is helping Gryla, and since they do not have the power to go there he and O’Malley will go there in secret. As they reach Krampus’s lair, O’Malley accidentally alerts Krampus’s goons of their presence.

They are then imprisoned before being brought to Krampus and then tell him that his brother has been taken prisoner by Gryla. Krampus doesn’t care and plans to keep them prisoner until O’Malley challenges him in Krampus Slap, and as he goes to slap Drift, O’Malley comes in with an arm brace that allows both of them to run.
