What is something you try to remember when you are about to go to a competition?
“It’s all for fun at the end of the day, and as long as I do good in my eyes everything’s alright.”

Did you ever have a humbling experience during swimming?
“In eighth grade I got first in backstroke by 30 seconds, and I thought I’d keep that up in my next event – a relay – and I ended up disqualifying my team.”

What is your day to day schedule when it’s competition week?
“Make sure I’m eating healthy and getting plenty of rest before the day of the meet and really trying hard in practice.”

Did any of your family members swim?
“No, my sister taught me how to swim at the YMCA though.”

Are you going to continue swimming?

“Probably, I’ll likely stick it out until I go to college and that’s when I’ll retire.”
