Fall break is upon us, Warriors! The first quarter of this school year has really flown by, right? I can’t believe how fast this year seems to be going; part of me wishes it would slow down. I hope that the first quarter of your school year has been enjoyable and that your classes are progressing well. If not, now is the time to figure out what to change both academically and personally to make the most of this school year.

Fall break is a time for you to relax and take a breather from the responsibilities and work that come along with school. I encourage you all to use the next couple of weeks to catch up on some sleep, spend time with friends and family, and prepare for the quarter ahead.

Whatever you may have planned for fall break, I hope you enjoy your time off, and I hope you enjoy reading this issue of the Owl. The staff and I put a lot of thought and work into this issue, as this is our first 16-page issue of the year. On later pages, you will find articles about a variety of topics and issues, such as the impacts of cell phones on students, Hispanic Heritage Month, and even a story on censorship in the classroom.

We’ve put a QR code, located to the right of this editor’s note, which will take you to a Google Form where you can give us feedback and tell us things you would like to see us cover this school year. We ask that you take it seriously if you decide to respond. We would love to see your feedback.

Thank you so much for picking up this issue of the paper. I greatly appreciate it. Make sure to show your friends, and be on the lookout for the special editions of the paper for our scavenger hunt. I hope your fall break is fun and eventful. See you when we come back!
