To Letter to Our LGBTQA+ Students,

We as a nation are currently in an unknown and unfamiliar territory, and it has not once slipped my mind that some of you may be stuck in households that are homophobic, transphobic, and/or otherwise not accepting of who you are. Please know that I, as well as many others at Warren Central, are here FOR YOU. We see you, we see your identity, and we accept you for who you are.

I cannot imagine the situations some of you may be finding yourselves in at this time, but I can let you know that you have so many people in your corner. People who love you. People who care about you. People who want you to know that you are worthy of all the love and support in the world. Do not let negative words and thoughts of others bring down the way you view yourself. You are magical, wonderful, caring, loving, and you deserve to hear those words every day. Say them to yourself every morning when you wake up, and every night before you go to sleep, “I am magical, I am wonderful, I am caring, I am loving.” This struggle is not yours alone to go through, reach out to friends, more supportive family members, or community members you trust. The Warrior Alliance has connections with the Indiana Youth Group ( and they are a valuable support system for those who just need someone to talk to. They are currently having virtual sessions on everything from Yoga to Self Care.

I understand that some of you may feel like you have nowhere to go, no one to turn to. If you are feeling this way, the Trevor Project ( is a great resource for those of you who may be struggling during these times. If you do not feel comfortable calling and speaking to someone, you can text the word “Trevor” to 1-202-304-1200 from 3 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, or go online and select TrevorChat.

There are so many resources because so many people love you and want you to be safe, myself and the other Warrior Alliance sponsors included. If you are not yet a member of our Warrior Alliance Google Classroom, you can join using the code 4b2gfhp or email myself or Ms. Gaither or Mrs. Clemmer for more information about the club.

With a virtual hug,
