Well, here we are, Warriors, at the end of the school year. We’re finally here. With just one more week of school left, summer break is almost upon us. I’m sure these past few weeks have been full of projects, finals and AP tests, which I hope went well for you all. And I hope everyone’s summer break is full of fun times, vacations and everything in between. Now we can all decompress from the year and take the time to prepare for what’s to come.

To the freshmen, sophomores and juniors, I wish you all the best in the years ahead. Enjoy your summer and enjoy the remainder of your high school journey. It goes by fast, and you never get the time back, so I encourage you to use it to its fullest. And even when classes or extracurriculars get difficult, keep moving forward. Put in the work and try your best on everything you do, and, in the end, it will be worth it.

For the seniors, we’ve made it. The end of this chapter of our lives is here. Now is the time to take the next steps towards our future, whether that means college, trade school, joining the workforce, the military or whatever we all decide to do. For me, I’ll be attending Purdue University in Indianapolis, where I will be majoring in Themed Entertainment Design. From there, I will be pursuing my lifelong dream of becoming an Imagineer for Walt Disney Imagineering. Whatever the next step you decide to take is, I hope it leads you to achieving your dream.

Having the opportunity to serve as the Editor-in-Chief was not something I was expecting when I joined the staff last year. If it weren’t for some of my friends who were on staff, I wouldn’t be here. It’s been a great honor to be able to bring the Owl to you all this school year; it is something that I will never forget. The Owl has given me numerous opportunities to use my creativity and make it into something for everyone to enjoy, which I’m forever grateful for.

I want to thank everyone reading this for being on this journey with my staff and me. Thank you to all of our readers, students and faculty alike. Thank you to the Prevost Print Shop for working with us to revamp the paper's style this year. And finally, thank you to my staff for helping create not only great issues of the Owl but memories I will never forget.

For this issue, we are going out with a bang. Instead of our usual 16 pages, we have increased it to 20 pages, which allows us to cover even more topics. This is also our senior issue where we try to highlight as many seniors as we possibly can. Further in the issue, we have stories on the 2026 World Cup, a Letter from a Leader from this year’s Valedictorian, coverage of spring sports wrapping up their seasons and many more articles for you all to enjoy.

Normally, I would end these Editor’s Notes by saying something like “see you next time, Warriors,” but for me there is no more next time. This is a very bittersweet feeling for me. It truly feels like just yesterday that my staff and I were working on the first few issues. I can’t believe that I’m already here. So, for the final time from me, I hope you enjoy this issue of the Owl and enjoy your summer break. Thank you all.
