June 16, 2021

Good Afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff,

We have a few VERY important announcements for the week of June 16th.

Linked here is our district newsletter for the month of June.  It can also be found on our website by clicking on Newsroom under the Menu Tab. This month’s newsletter highlights our inCREdible community partners and provides important information on enrollment and registration for the 21-22 school year.

Warren is partnering with the Marion County Public Health Department to provide a FREE COVID vaccination event at the Warren Central High School Fieldhouse for children ages 12 - 17 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM this Saturday,  June 19th to administer the first of two Pfizer vaccine shots, and Saturday,  July 17th to administer the second vaccine dosage.  Interested participants will need to fill out a short form indicating their interest. Form is linked here, and can be found on our website under our COVID page. Walk-ins are welcomed!

Just a reminder that summer food distribution for all kids 18 and under will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 6:00 PM at Brookview, Pleasant Run, Renaissance, Creston, Raymond Park, Warren Central High School, and Moorhead Community Resource Center. Tuesday’s distribution will include 2 breakfast and 2 lunch meals. Thursdays will include 5 breakfast and 5 lunch meals. Kids do not need to be present to pick up food.

Moorhead Community Resource Center will remain open through the summer. If you have needs beyond what is being offered, you can call our outreach hotline at 317-608-0545 or email at MSDWarrenOutreach@warren.k12.in.us with your request. Also, MCRC will be one of our summer sites for tech support Monday - Friday from 7:30 - 1:00.  If you have a tech or device need, you can also submit a help ticket through our IncidentIQ support system by clicking on Technology under the Menu Tab and then select Parent Tech Info.

I want to commend our summer school students and staff for the great job they are doing this summer!  The last day for K-8 summer school is Friday, June 18th. I encourage all students to keep reading and practicing their skills throughout the summer.

Finally, if you are interested in or know someone who might be interested in working in Warren or with Chartwells food service , please visit our Human Resources page under the Menu Tab.  If you are a teacher looking to work in an outstanding district, please visit our new applicant portal page also linked to our Human Resources page.

Thank you for continued investment in Warren students and schools and have a great rest of your week.
